Once the site of the 1984 Louisiana Worlds’ Fair, Riverwalk Marketplace opened in 1986 and this year is celebrating 20 years as one of the top visitor attractions in New Orleans. Riverwalk Marketplace features amazing shopping in a setting that overlooks the beautiful Mississippi River.
From a fabulous collection of local merchants selling scenes from New Orleans and creative keepsakes, to nationally known stores like Brookstone, Nine West, Foot Locker and The Body Shop, to great food options like Café du Monde’s world famous beignets (hot French doughnuts), sushi, Mexican and Italian food, the flavor of New Orleans is everywhere at the Riverwalk.
This unique collection of shops and eateries is located on the downtown New Orleans riverfront, at the foot of Canal, Poydras and Julia Streets, across the street from Harrah’s Casino and adjacent to the Hilton Hotel.
The Riverwalk is open Monday-Saturday 11am-7pm, Sunday 12pm-6pm
