Workforce Development
The New Orleans Workforce Partnership is a unique coalition of the public/private sectors of the City of New Orleans, the area's business sector, the Louisiana Department of Labor, the higher education sector and non-profit agencies of the region. The organization strives to fulfill three major goals:

Regional Labor Market System Development--To develop a competent workforce that will meet the business retention, expansion and attraction needs of the region.

Economic Development Through Workforce Development--To utilize current workers who are unemployed and underemployed in family-support wages.

Development of the Labor Market of the Future--To work with the youth of the community in training for emerging industries and occupations in tomorrow's global economy.
The New Orleans Workforce Partnership sponsors job seeker services, youth services, training provider information. It also hosts regular meetings and events for the community.
